ABOUT THIS LISTENING MODE
Mochi brings music, news and weather into one listening room. You choose the source and cadence; Mochi prepares each short update while the music continues, plays what is due, then hands the room back.
Start with Spotify Premium, YouTube or local audio files. Add news, weather, or both, and choose a separate cadence and length for each kind of bulletin.
If news and weather are due together, Mochi plays news first and weather second while holding one deliberate pause in the music.
Choose the subjects you care about and a place for local relevance. Editions stay short and expose links to the reporting used, so a spoken summary always has somewhere more complete to go.
You can also request a manual bulletin whenever you want one, even when scheduled updates are off.
Search for a city, town or postcode and choose an exact result so Mochi does not guess between places with the same name. The weather update is built from current forecast data for that location.
Weather is a concise listening update, not a warning service. Use official local advice when conditions may affect safety.
Mochi preloads a due edition and its presenter audio while music keeps playing. At the chosen moment it pauses or waits for a song boundary, plays the full queue, and only then resumes the selected music source.
Browser playback rules can still block an automatic restart. When that happens, the music player’s own Play button is the dependable fallback.
