ABOUT THIS LISTENING MODE
Personal radio. Built around your music.
Personal radio should feel like your listening, not somebody else’s schedule. Mochi lets you choose the music source, the subjects worth interrupting it for, and how often those interruptions happen.
What is personal radio?
Personal radio is a listening experience shaped by one listener. Instead of accepting a station’s fixed playlist and hourly bulletin, you start with music you already chose and set the news and weather breaks yourself.
Mochi is the layer that brings those pieces together. It does not replace your music service or turn your interests into another feed to check.
Your music stays in the foreground
Use a visible YouTube player, Spotify Premium through a listener-controlled connection, or audio files from your device. When a bulletin is due, Mochi makes room for it and then returns the focus to the music.
You can ask for a bulletin manually, schedule short breaks while music is playing, or turn a bulletin type off entirely.
A dial, not an algorithmic feed
Choose the news subjects that matter to you, add a place for relevant news and weather, select a bulletin length, and decide whether an update should interrupt or wait for a song boundary.
The result is intentionally bounded: a short spoken edition, links to the reporting behind it, then back to listening.
What the browser can and cannot do
Mochi is a web app, so browser and device audio rules still apply. A locked phone, another app taking over sound, or a browser blocking automatic playback can interrupt a handoff.
Keep Mochi open during scheduled listening. If a music service’s player does not restart automatically, its own Play button remains the reliable fallback.
